IMII is pleased to announce the release of a key document – the 2020–2024 Strategic Plan.
IMII is charting a renewed course to the future. The 2020–2024 Strategic Plan is an ambitious framework that focuses our resources and effort on four main pillars.
1. Innovation Steward
IMII will drive the Innovation value chain and transform innovative ideas into practice
2. Research, Development & Demonstration and Education & Training:
IMII will enable sustainable innovation that matters to mining
3. Qualified & Representative Workforce:
IMII will operationalize equity, diversity & inclusion to meet talent needs and drive innovation
4. Operate & Govern IMII Consistently:
IMII will maintain robust and transparent governance processes to deliver good performance
These four strategic pillars align with IMII’s renewed purpose – to serves as an Innovation Steward to strengthen the Saskatchewan minerals industry’s competitiveness and growth through Research, Development & Demonstration and Education & Training to drive the future’s Qualified & Representative Workforce.
The plan describes goals and indicators of success that IMII will take to fulfill our vision and mission, and uphold our principles.
IMII would like to extend its gratitude for the contributions and guidance from the Board of Directors (past and present) as they were integral to the development of this plan.

Let’s Talk Minerals 2020! Rescheduled to 2021
After careful consideration, and in light of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions on large gatherings, we are postponing Let’s Talk Minerals! to spring 2021. Rescheduling the event will enable us to provide the experience that our members and project partners expect and deserve in a safe environment.
We remain excited to host you in person next year and will announce the date by year’s end. IMII hopes to be able to offer Let’s Talk Minerals in association with Saskatchewan’s annual Mining Week in 2021.
We look forward to hosting you next year. Until then, stay safe and healthy!
