The International Minerals Innovation Institute (IMII) is pleased to welcome New Concept Mining Canada (NCM – http://www.newconceptmining.com) as a major supply chain member.
“New Concept Mining has recently come to Canada, and has engaged with the potash and uranium sectors in Saskatchewan to help make underground a safer place to work by offering mine roof support and associated products,” says IMII Executive Director Al Shpyth. “They share the commitment of IMII’s major mining companies to innovation, and have a demonstrated ability to research and develop products that contribute to increased safety and consequently increased productivity for mining operations.”
In March of this year, IMII added a supply chain category to its membership structure. Supply chain companies are those companies who are not minerals producers but are involved in the minerals industry’s innovation ecosystem through the provision of goods and services (e.g., original equipment manufacturers, engineering firms, construction companies, consultancies, other service companies), to minerals companies operating in Saskatchewan, and share the minerals companies’ commitment to innovation through IMII. They may contribute internal development projects and/or be strategic partners in building products and services that meet the innovation needs of the minerals industry.
