SASKATOON, SK – International Minerals Innovation Institute (IMII) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dwight Percy as Chairman of the Board of Directors effective immediately.
Dwight Percy is a business communicator and strategic planner. Since 1995, through Percy Communications, he has worked with hundreds of clients that range from small businesses to large corporations in a wide variety of sectors. For several years, Dwight Percy was the business columnist for the Saskatoon Star Phoenix and a business columnist and talk show host for CJWW Radio. In addition, he was a sessional lecturer for fifteen years in the University of Saskatchewan’s Business Administration Certificate program.
Mr. Percy previously served as Manager, Investor Relations with Great Western Minerals Group and as Vice President, Corporate Development with Claude Resources. As publisher and editor of Percy on Business Street News, Mr. Percy wrote about, interviewed and discussed mining industry strategies.

IMII Executive Director and Senior Technical Advisor, Engin Özberk, commented: “I am excited to welcome such an experienced industry professional to chair the IMII Board. Mr. Percy brings extensive expertise in the minerals industry, communication, strategic planning, and corporate governance to IMII.”
Dwight Percy replaces Dr. Gordon Barnhart as Chairman of the IMII Board. Dr. Barnhart stepped down in May 2014 to join the University of Saskatchewan as the Acting President. David Grier, Chief Strategist with Innovation Saskatchewan and IMII Board Member has fulfilled the position for the past seven months.
