International Minerals Innovation Institute

The International Minerals Innovation Institute (IMII) is pleased to welcome Women in Mining and Women in Nuclear Saskatchewan, Inc. (WIM/WiN-SK) as an associate member.

“Associate members are not-for-profit organizations that represent interests relevant to the minerals industry, and clearly Women in Mining and Women in Nuclear Saskatchewan, Inc. represent the strong interest of the industry in increasing diversity and inclusion in its workforce,” says IMII Executive Director, Al Shpyth. “WIM/WiN-SK seeks to connect and inspire a diversified workforce to be fully engaged in the Saskatchewan mining and nuclear industries – a commitment shared by IMII and its member companies. We look forward to their contributions to our education and training efforts,” he added.

WIM/WiN-SK joins the Saskatchewan Mining Association and Saskatchewan Industrial and Mining Suppliers Association as associate members of IMII, as well as the Saskatchewan Literacy Council.

WIM/WiN-SK’s 5th Annual Mine Your Potential conference will be held on October 27, 2017 at the Saskatoon Inn. Mine Your Potential is a one-day event that focuses on personal and professional development for people working in the mining and nuclear sectors. Participants gain knowledge and skills while engaging with like-minded people. This event is one of the first of its kind in Canada, and 2017 marks its 5th anniversary. IMII supports Mine Your Potential by sponsoring the attendance of students from our member post-secondary educational institutions.
